About me
My name is Davide Rizzo (they/he) and you might have encountered my screen name sorcio. Iām a computer engineer by background, and I write software for fun and business and nerdery.
I have a ridiculously broad variety of topics of interest, most of which I only understand on a shallow level. But I also end up in ridiculously deep rabbit holes. So I constantly live on a liminal zone where I feel everyone else is more experienced than me on any given topic, but also that Iām more experienced than most in no specific topic. In other words, I have ADHD and itās a world of fun (but also not).
Updates on this blog are never regular nor to be expected.

āsorcioā
This name stuck on me since the early days of my online presence, decades ago. āSorcioā (/Ėsor.tĶ”Źo/) is an old Italian word, still in use in many regional dialects, for a mouse or a rat. Originally, it reflected my amusement at this unusual utterance some people used to use for my beloved hamsters. Over time, I guess itās just a piece of personal history that I like to carry along with myself.
Iāve seen English speakers attempt to associate the word with sorcery, or with source code. Others made the connection with the -io usual of many software projects dealing with I/O. Itās none of these things, but I donāt mind if you try to attach any meaning.
